Puerto Galera dive conditions, Fri 30 Oct 2026

Outlook for Friday 30 October 2026 (Asia/Manila). Drier, calmer day: light ESE-SE wind 6-8 kn (gusts 16-20 kn), seas ~0.2-0.3 m and only ~0.5 mm rain forecast, with spring tides easing. House sites and wrecks any slot; Canyons on the last of the flood into the 13:53 high slack (drop about 13:15-13:45) if your op OKs it; Verde only near that slack, showers likely there midday.

Read first. This dashboard is for information only. It is not dive advice and does not replace local knowledge. Wind, waves and water temperature come from coarse models, visibility is an estimate, and slack water can differ from the tide table. Conditions change, and currents, visibility and weather can differ from the forecast. You are responsible for your own safety: always confirm with your dive operator and use your own judgment. No liability is accepted for any accident, injury, loss or decision made using this tool. Site sketches are illustrative, not to scale and not for navigation.

Sheltered from the light ESE-SE wind (6-8 kn, gusts 16-20 kn). Much drier: only ~0.5 mm rain forecast after ~9.5 mm Wed and ~4.7 mm Thu, so runoff should keep clearing; shallows may still be a little cloudy early.

Spring tides easing (4 days after full moon). Flood starts after the 07:31 low and runs hardest late morning. Best window: the last of the flood about 13:15-13:45 into the 13:53 high slack. Small afternoon ebb after. Seas ~0.2-0.3 m.

SE walls

13:30Fair
18:00 nightPoor

Light ESE wind blows onto these walls; seas only ~0.2-0.3 m but gusts near 20 kn after midday. Pink Wall near the 13:53 high; Kilima Steps toward the 17:38 low. Not a night option.

Ernie's Cave/Dungon Wall

SlotRating
9:00Fair
11:00Fair
13:30Good
18:00 nightPoor

Flood builds through the morning; easiest near the 13:53 high. Little rain, so runoff should be lower than Wed-Thu.

Verde Island

SlotRating
9:00Poor
11:00Poor
13:30Fair
18:00 nightPoor

Crossing looks easier (seas ~0.2-0.3 m, 7 kn), but currents are still strong 4 days after full moon and the Verde rain chance is 67-94% from 11:00 to 16:00. Only near the 13:53 high slack, experienced divers, if your op is happy.

West side

SlotRating
9:00Good
11:00Good
13:30Fair
18:00 nightPoor

ESE wind is offshore here, seas ~0.3-0.4 m and little rain forecast. Seas build slightly after midday. Weak ebb in the afternoon.

Day range ~1.0 m (low to high); the afternoon ebb is small (~0.2 m) and the evening flood is big. Slack can differ from tide times; confirm with your dive op.

Spring tides easing, but currents in the Verde Island Passage are still strong. Moon below the horizon at 18:00; rises ~77% lit at 21:24, so the night dive is dark.

Rash guard to 3 mm shorty for one dive; 3 mm full for 3 dives plus a night dive. Surface model values only; no thermocline data.

Estimate only (Fair, improving): model rain ~9.5 mm Wed and ~4.7 mm Thu, then only ~0.5 mm Fri, so runoff should keep settling; small ENE-E wind-waves ~0.2-0.3 m; easing spring currents still stir some sediment. No dated diver viz reports found.

The wind model is coarse: all three points share the same wind values and gusts often run high; Sabang and Verde also share the same wave values. Forecast rain ~0.5 mm on Fri 30 Oct (most of it after 19:00). The official outlook issued Thursday still had a shear line with scattered rain and isolated thunderstorms over Oriental Mindoro, so carry a rain plan even though the models look drier. Confirm slack times with your dive op. Depths are typical ranges, not verified per site.
