Today’s conditions — Puerto Galera, Sun 1 Nov 2026

Today, Sunday 1 November 2026 (Asia/Manila), updated around noon. Light wind and tides near neaps: ESE 7-8 kn this morning (gusts to ~20 kn), easing to E 4-5 kn after 14:00 and almost calm by 17:00; seas ~0.15-0.2 m in the bays (~0.3-0.4 m West). Light drizzle through late morning, mostly dry from about 13:00 to 18:00, showers back after 19:00 (~4.8 mm for the day, mostly overnight and evening). A member reported excellent viz at Verde this morning (about 20 m, dropping to 10 m). House sites, wrecks and walls any day slot; Escarceo toward the 16:26 high (ask your op); Verde afternoon rain chance is 84%, so skip it later. Night dive at house sites: dry at 18:00, showers likely from 19:00.

Afternoon

Estimate for the bays (Fair): ~4.8 mm of model rain, mostly overnight and this evening; small ESE wind-waves ~0.15-0.2 m; weak neap currents stir less sediment. Member diver feedback today (Sun 1 Nov, Verde Island, two morning dives about 09:30 and 11:30): excellent viz, about 20 m at first, dropping to about 15 m and then 10 m. One report, one site; viz elsewhere can differ.

The wind model is coarse: all three points share the same wind and rain values (rain chance differs), and gusts often run high. Model rain for Sun 1 Nov is ~4.8 mm, mostly overnight and after 19:00. The official national forecast issued 04:00 today has no tropical cyclone inside PAR (Typhoon In-fa is far to the east, about 2,290 km east of extreme northern Luzon, moving east-northeast, away). For our area: partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms; Luzon and Visayas coastal waters light to moderate NE-E wind, slight to moderate seas. A shear line affects only northeastern Luzon. Confirm slack times with your dive op. Depths are typical ranges, not verified per site.
